package.sh built its own Arch package with nfpm while the shared release
workflow also built one with makepkg, because has-arch defaults to true. Both
wrote designcraft-<version>-linux-<arch>.pkg.tar.zst, the draft release merges
the release-* artifacts last-writer-wins, and 0.17.0 shipped the nfpm copy,
which declared fewer dependencies than the makepkg template.
Drop arch from the formats this script builds and remove the archlinux section
from nfpm.yaml, so the shared action is the single builder. It names the
package after the .desktop bundle id, declares the same provides/conflicts
against the AUR packages, and adds the optdepends nfpm could not express.
The binaries load their windowing libraries at run time, and xkbcommon's X11
keyboard module is a separate library from the core one. Nothing declared it,
so a package installed on a system without it crashes before opening a window:
thread 'main' panicked at xkbcommon-dl-0.4.2/src/x11.rs:59:28:
Library libxkbcommon-x11.so could not be loaded.
winit's X11 backend cannot fall back, so the dependency is required for deb,
rpm and Arch rather than recommended.
* packaging: Flatpak finds and prints to CUPS printers
The Print dialog listed no printers in the Flatpak: the runtime has libcups but not
lpstat/lp, the sandbox couldn't reach the CUPS socket, and driverless network printers
(lpstat -e) need Avahi. Bundle lpstat/lp/lpoptions from CUPS 2.4.20 (Apache-2.0,
statically linked, licence installed) and grant --socket=cups and
--system-talk-name=org.freedesktop.Avahi in both manifests.
* packaging: Flatpak reads the user's CUPS settings (~/.cups, read-only)
Review (CodeRabbit): without it the sandbox's lp/lpstat ignore the user's default
printer and saved options (lpoptions) and a print server named in their client.conf.
* packaging: Flatpak CUPS tools reach the host socket when client.conf names a custom path
Review: Flatpak mounts the host's CUPS socket at /var/run/cups/cups.sock whatever
path ~/.cups/client.conf or CUPS_SERVER names, so lp/lpstat/lpoptions now run through
a wrapper that points a socket path missing in the sandbox there. Server names
(remote servers) and sockets that exist are left alone. Tested in the sandbox:
CUPS_SERVER=/run/custom/cups.sock lists the host's printers through the wrapper and
none without it; a host name is passed through unchanged.
* packaging: redirect a custom CUPS socket only when it is the one Flatpak mounted
Review (CodeRabbit): Flatpak picks the socket it mounts at /var/run/cups/cups.sock
with stricter rules than CUPS (flatpak-run-cups.c: a socket CUPS_SERVER, else the
first line spelled exactly "ServerName /path" in ~/.cups/client.conf, else the
default), while CUPS reads the keyword in any case and takes the last ServerName. The
wrapper now redirects only when CUPS' socket is the one Flatpak chose, so a job can't
reach a different server; otherwise CUPS fails on the missing path.
* packaging: never redirect a CUPS_SERVER the sandbox was given
Review (CodeRabbit): Flatpak picks the socket it mounts from the host's CUPS_SERVER,
so one set by flatpak run --env or an override may not be what it mounted. The
wrapper now leaves any CUPS_SERVER alone and redirects only a client.conf socket that
matches Flatpak's choice; otherwise CUPS fails on the missing path instead of
reaching a different server.
* packaging: point CUPS at the mounted socket only when it is the one Flatpak chose, else fail
Review (CodeRabbit): with a custom socket listed first and the default last in
~/.cups/client.conf, Flatpak mounts the custom one at /var/run/cups/cups.sock while
CUPS picks the last line, finds that path, and talks to the custom server. The
wrapper now compares CUPS' socket with Flatpak's choice even when the path exists:
equal, CUPS is pointed at the mount; different, the tool fails with an error instead
of reaching another server.
Pin the final egui, winit and shared UI revisions and reconcile current main.
Preserve document-epoch input and screenshot boundaries, host action ordering,
and Windows path regression coverage. Add click/End batch characterization.
Validation: all nine Linux CI stages pass (3230 tests, zero failures); Windows
CI and bounded native editing workflows pass on the same production source.
- Use bash's [[ ]] instead of [ ] for conditional tests (S7688).
- Copy positional parameters into named locals in render(), has() and
sha256() (S7679).
- End the env.sh helper functions with an explicit return, which keeps
the last command's status (S7682).
- Give the appimagetool checksum case a default branch for architectures
without a pinned download (S131).
No behaviour change; shellcheck -x is clean.
DesignCraft's RPM requires Fedora package names: `libxkbcommon`, `(vulkan-loader or libglvnd-egl)`.
openSUSE has no `libxkbcommon`, `vulkan-loader` or `libglvnd-egl` package, so zypper refuses it with
`nothing provides 'libxkbcommon'` (exit 4, which the ArtCraft Launcher shows as "error 4";
storytold/craft-launcher#341).

nfpm (2.47, 2.48) writes Go's directory bit into the mode of each directory a `type: tree`
entry walks (0o20000000755), so installing the package warned "directory permissions differ"
on every shared directory under /usr/share. It also stamps the files and .MTREE a moment apart,
so `pacman -Qkk` reported most files as modified. The Arch build now lists usr/share file by
file (nfpm then gives the parent directories a plain 0755) and fixes the time with
SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH (the commit time unless set), which also makes the package reproducible.

package.sh now also builds designcraft-<ver>-linux-<arch>.pkg.tar.zst with nfpm's archlinux packager,
from the same nfpm.yaml. It is named by the bundle id (ai.storyteller.designcraft), provides designcraft and
conflicts with designcraft, designcraft-bin and designcraft-git, so an AUR helper doesn't take it over and ArtCraft
Launcher can tell it from an AUR build. The README lists it with the other Linux downloads.

- release.yml: new linux-riscv64 job (cross-compiled on ubuntu-24.04 against
ports.ubuntu.com riscv64 libs, tar.gz only, CLI smoke-tested under QEMU),
ported from GridCraft; the draft release job needs it, so SHA256SUMS covers it.
- packaging/linux/package.sh: CROSS_ARCH/CROSS_TARGET/CROSS_COMPILE/EMULATOR
support, as in GridCraft.
- cargo xtask version set 0.6.0; README, hardware parity and ROADMAP log note
the new platform.

- file.save / file.saveAs / file.saveACopy add the .designcraft extension to a
given path that lacks it and report the path written; saving back to the
document's own file keeps its name.
- file.open tells DesignCraft and IDML packages apart by content, so files
without an extension open; anything else is "not a DesignCraft or IDML file".
- Dropped or web-picked files without an extension open as documents when their
content is one.
- Desktop save dialogs filter on the suggested extension and add it to a name
typed without it, asking before replacing an existing file; the open dialog
gains "All files".
- macOS: open-documents Apple events (Finder, Dock, Open With) through
fmv-macos-events, queued until the window is ready; Info.plist declares the
.designcraft type and an imported .idml type with CFBundleDocumentTypes.
- Windows MSI: .designcraft ProgId with an Open verb, IDML under Open with.
- Linux: shared-mime-info for both types and MimeType in the .desktop file.
Fixes#158, #211, #375
- freebsd job: builds packaging/freebsd/package.sh in a FreeBSD 14.3 VM (same image and
packages as freebsd.yml) into designcraft-<ver>-freebsd-x86_64.tar.gz.
- flatpak jobs (x86_64 on ubuntu-24.04, aarch64 on ubuntu-24.04-arm): repackage the Linux
tarball with packaging/linux/flatpak-bundle.sh and a new bundle manifest; runtime and
finish-args shared with the from-source manifest (checked by packaging-lint).
- AppImages embed gh-releases-zsync update information and ship a .zsync beside them.
- version, linux, web, flatpak and freebsd no longer use the release environment (they read
no secrets), so a workflow_dispatch on a branch dry-runs them; the signing jobs and the
draft release stay environment-gated.
- nfpm package description described an image editor; now describes DesignCraft.
- README: Downloads section listing every build.
