WordCraft's watermark was left out of ODT files. It is now written as LibreOffice and Word write theirs: a fontwork custom shape (draw:text-path, draw:type fontwork-plain-text) named PowerPlusWaterMarkObject, behind the text and centred on the page, in every header (a header made for it alone fits inside the top margin, so the text doesn't move). It doesn't grow to its text (draw:auto-grow-* false), which LibreOffice needs to stretch the text to it. Such a shape in a header, from LibreOffice or WordCraft, opens as the document's watermark (text, colour, see-through, turn, size), not as a shape.
