+- 2026-11-03: ODT form definitions and indexes are written back as read (gap 19): a file's forms keep their settings, properties and event listeners, and an index nobody edited keeps its source settings and entry templates. Over the 133-file corpus the element kinds a save loses fall from 38 to 22 (losses per file 354 → 242), with the pages unchanged (95 pixel-identical, 130 with identical text).
 - 2026-11-03: ODT saves without edits lose (almost) nothing (gap 19): tables, page layouts and master pages, named sections, document properties and declarations WordCraft doesn't model are written back as read, and a test saves seven samples of our own and finds nothing missing. Over the 133-file corpus 95 files come back pixel-identical (62 before) and the round-trip difference falls to 51k pixels (191k)
 - 2026-11-03: ODT saves what WordCraft doesn't model (gap 19): a paragraph nobody edited is written back with its own markup, and while no style changed, the file's own style definitions are written, so unknown elements, attributes, unused list styles and note settings survive a save that doesn't touch them. Over the 133-file corpus (LibreOffice, Google Docs and ONLYOFFICE files) the round-trip difference falls by 64% and 62 files come back pixel-identical (46 before)
 - 2026-11-03: ODT checked the other way round too (gap 19): 42 documents made in WordCraft (its templates, themes, and one per feature) are saved as ODT and opened in LibreOffice; every one opens with the same page count and passes the ODF 1.3 schema. Found and fixed: table styles were left out of the saved file (now written into each cell), ODT tables were given Word's Table Grid style on opening (which changed their spacing), section columns now say whether they end balanced, and SmartArt diagrams are saved as a group of their shapes and text. The LibreOffice round-trip corpus is at its best yet (40k differing pixels over 125 documents, 42 identical).
